Southbank Leeds - SAP & SBEM Calculations

Redeveloping the South Bank area of Leeds will double the size of Leeds city centre by transforming South Bank into a distinctive European destination for investment, living, learning, creativity and leisure.

The framework sets out the proposal to create a destination that
  • Provides 35,000 jobs
  • Creates over 4,000 new homes
  • Showcases the diversity of the Leeds economy, where a range of sectors
are located where the global meets the local
  • Retain historic assets
  • Is a leading destination for leisure, with diverse public spaces,
and a green city centre park
  • Has a world class waterfront
  • Is inclusive and connects people to jobs by improving links between Southbank and surrounding areas
  • Makes the most of the opportunity presented by HS2 and Northern Powerhouse Rail.
All residential and commercial buildings need to comply with Part L of Building Regulations: Conservation of Fuel of Power, meaning that all of the new buildings designed and built as part of the regeneration will need to meet strict Target Emission Rates for CO2 generated when in use following completion. The method for ensuring targets will be met are SAP Calculations for residential buildings and SBEM Calculations for commercial buildings.

L2 Energy Consulting have significant experience in providing both SAP Calculations and SBEM Calculations on large mixed use schemes. For further information please visit our website www.L2energy.co.uk or contact Jason Cook (Partner) on Bournemouth 01202 485235
