Royal Pier Waterfront Southampton - SAP & SBEM Calculations

The £450m regeneration of Southampton Waterfront will provide 800m of waterfront with full public access providing 40-50 new premium shops, waterside restaurants, cafes and bars, 730 contemporary apartments, a 250 bed 4-5 star signature hotel and spa, a high quality park-side office development, a casino with leisure and entertainment facilities and a civic, cultural / arts and technology hub celebrating Southampton’s links with land, sea and sky.

All residential and commercial buildings need to comply with Part L of Building Regulations: Conservation of Fuel of Power, meaning that all of the new buildings designed and built as part of the regeneration will need to meet strict Target Emission Rates for CO2 generated when in use following completion. The method for ensuring targets will be met are SAP Calculations for residential buildings and SBEM Calculations for commercial buildings.

SAP & SBEM Calculations required for Nuneaton & Bedworth Local Plan

Over the next 15 years a substantial re-development plan has been proposed as part of Nuneaton & Bedworth Local Plan which is in Consultation until 31 March 2017. The plan includes for the construction of almost 9,000 new homes, new Primary & Secondary Schools, GP Surgeries and the development of 82 hectares of employment land to provide new premises for business.

Compliance with Building Regulation Part L: Conservation of Fuel & Power will play a significant role in the development strategy in order to minimise the carbon footprint of the scheme, requiring SAP Calculations for each new dwelling and SBEM Calculations for each non-domestic buildings to ensure compliance is met to keep CO2 emissions below target emissions set by the regulations.

SBEM Calculation completed on Teaching Block in Hampshire

SBEM Calculations have been completed on a new language block at a School in Hampshire.

To be constructed using the Kingspan TEK system to provide an highly insulated building and with the use of energy efficient mechanical and electrical installations this building is expected to achieve an EPC Rating of A.





SAP & SBEM Calculations completed in Dorset

SAP Calculations & SBEM Calculations complete at Trinidad Extra Care Village in Poole, Dorset. Energy Efficiency was high on the agenda with the use of both Combined Heat & Power (CHP) plant and Photovoltaics.

SBEM on new Maths Block completed

L2 Energy have recently completed SBEM Calculations on a new Maths Block for a Secondary School in Hampshire. Heated by the ever popular Air Source Heat Pump into a wet underfloor system with mechanical ventilation provided to teaching space, this new build is set to start on site by the end of June 2013.

SBEM Calculations & EPC Completed on Hampshire Convent.

L2 Energy have completed the SBEM Calculations and Energy Performance Certificate on Abbey House, Romsey. The building provides new accommodation for the Daughters of Wisdom. Heating is provided by an underfloor wet system via the use of an Air Source Heat Pump and utilizing latest energy efficient lighting technology which will provide energy efficient living for the sisters for many years to come.
